Look Mommy, I can tie my shoes........sorta

While we were at the playground I looked over and see Makayah trying to tie her shoes. Keep in mind she's only 3 yrs old and never been formally taught to tie her shoes. I only caught what I could but I was so pride of her. She didn't get it tied this time but I sure will be working on it.

Today Nana, T-T, and Makayah went and had lunch with Monyae at school. I don't have any pictures from the lunch but I can show you pictures of the girls. Yeeeaaah!! Here are a few pictures from the day!!

Ringling Bros with Nana & Poppa

I had planned to take the girls to the Circus this year but like always I had to work. So I asked Nana and Poppa if they could take the girls for me and since they are such lovely grandparents they said YES!!!! So I shipped them all off with my camera so that I could get shots to put in our photo album and on our blog.

Many times the girls take fairly decent pictures but this is not one of those times. My lovely 7 year old Monyae was the photographer for this event and I believe most of her pictures were taken from the Jumbotron instead the actual stage. So here our a few pictures from the Circus.

Also I asked the girls when they got back what was their favorite part of the Circus and they both said during intermission when they played the song "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. Can you believe it I spent almost $100 on the Circus that I couldn't attend and all I had to do was drive right down the street to Best Buy and buy a $15 CD!!!!!!!! They haven't stopped singing that song and here it is 5 days later. Well at least they enjoyed something I guess.

Chuck E Cheese

Last week the girls and I got to hang out with the Quarles family (another friend from work). Originally it was suppose to be a "Mom's Day Out" but as mothers you know how that goes, especially when one of them is named Kim and naps until noon. Robyn and I took the little ones to Chuck E. Cheese and they had a great time.

The best thing about all of my friends is that we all have children about the same ages. Since Robyn has 3 children the girls get to choose which of their various personalities that want to use. Monyae who is very competitive gets to show her "Anthani" side when she's around Robyn's son Anthony. These two are both very competitive, it's great to watch them go at it. Maybe they will be in the 2020 Olympics. Then Alisa lets both my girls experience their "girly" personalities. Little Aiden is one of Makayah many "victims", everyone knows that she enjoys playing with babies and thinks that anyone her age or younger is a baby, but they play together just great.

Not So Great Tuesday!!!

Makayah woke up on Tuesday not feeling so well. Not only that but she threw up 3 times. Not little kid vomit but spewing yellow adult vomit. It was disguising!!!!! I'm not a vomit person I can handle my children's but that is it. Fell is on his own when he throws up. I had to clean/wash 4 blankets 3 sheets 2 areas of carpet and 1 child. And I'm now missing a couch cushion because she got that too!!! So I confined to a air mattress in the middle of the living room. I'm happy to say that it was a 32 hour bug and she's feeling much better now. So take a look at these pictures because I don't know when the next time she will be this quiet or still again.



You can't just take a picture of one and not the other. The toothless smile is much better than the smile with the hanging tooth!!

Labor Day at Gran's!!!!

My Labor Day was not the holiday that I thought it was going to be. No great holiday meal like BBQ, macroni and cheese, baked beans or any other wonderful tasting foods. I had worked the night before and stayed up all day after I got home. Fell and his family have been doing yard work over his grandmother's house and they decided that they would finish the rest on Labor Day. So Fell spent the day chopping down trees, the girls cooked and laid out, while I tried keeping my eyes open.

The girls are helping their T-T make her homemade Salsa. Makayah licking the rest of the tomato and lime juices off her hands.
Every time the girls go over Gran's house they have to get on her treadmill. Once Monyae got all the way up to the 10th speed. She was going so fast that she wore a hole in her shoe. This time we didn't go pass the 3rd speed. I tried to take pictures but they didn't turn out so well so here is the slower version.


While the guys were working hard in the yard, Monyae and Makayah laid under the table listening to music.
