I know it's been a while since I've updated. I've been so busy and hadn't gotten a new camera. But I guess there is no better day to update then today.
Right now I'm at the hospital hooked up to a monitor and my favorite friend Pitocin. I don't think that I can deliver a baby without it. Dr Gallagher (the best OB ever) and the girls at her office expected me to deliver this past weekend. She actually stripped my membranes on Thursday because when they checked me I was "a loose 4"???? (I've never been called LOOSE) but I guess in this case it's okay. So shortly after I left the office, girls from the office called me and asked me if I wanted Dr Gallagher to strip my membranes to see if it would help me go into labor. Normally I wouldn't have cared but Dr Gallagher was going on a skiing trip and wouldn't be available at all to deliver me. The doc on call was Dr Barry Roper (I changed the name to protect those involved). And no one wants her to deliver them. So she stripped me expecting that I would deliver before she left for her trip. Let me tell you having your membranes strip isn't very pleasant!!! After that very painful experience combined with the contractions I had been having I expect that Miss Macarria would possibly join us this weekend. As you can tell that didn't happen. So the office called on Monday and said that if I was okay with it they scheduled an induction for me today at 9am!
And that brings me to now. Of course the girls are here with us. I've been contracting but nothing to serious. Gallagher has 2 surgeries scheduled, one at Eagle Highlands and the other here so she's hoping to get those done before Macarria makes her grand entrance. We'll see....... When Tammy (my nurse)checked me I was still 4-5 like last week so no real progress there. I'll try to post something if there is any big changes. I've got my cell, laptop, and camera so I'm all set. This is nothing like when I delivered back in '01 or even in '05, funny how much I'm into technology nowadays.
